Last week Jay spotted these Fly Agaric mushrooms from way up high. They were easy to see because they were so red!
This is Jay!
She loves to learn about plants and animals. She is usually found flying around the pond looking for new things to add to her nature journal or maybe birdwatching at the Pond Café.
Jay takes lots of notes in her sketchbook and spends much of her time at the library researching what she finds. Pinky, the librarian, is always a huge help in finding the right book!
Jay draws a quick sketch next to the notes from her research. Making a nature journal is easy. A sketchbook and a pencil are all that is needed. Although, binoculars and a magnifying glass are very handy too.
Jay finds all kinds of neat things when she’s adventuring in the woods. She keeps her collection in a special box. Her favorite things are the colorful rocks and the blue crayon she found in the garden.
